"Don't Skip the Basics"
Looking to get into nymphing but feel lost and overwhelmed by all the info out there? This class is for you beginners and intermediates out there who either don't know how to nymph, or have had frustrating & unsuccessful experiences with it. Aaron has taught countless people how to successfully nymph, and has put out 3 DVD's on nymphing, authored a book on trout fishing, written numerous fishing articles and has done many presentations at fishing clubs & fishing shows. You should leave this clinic able to set up a nymph rig on your own and catch some trout.
Topics covered will include:
- leader construction and knots
- where to find the fish (reading water)
- fly selection
- Strike indicator nymphing
- fixed line nymphing with split shot
- stream entomology (why fish certain nymphs in certain water types)
- tackle used for nymphing
There will be a short classroom session followed by on the water fishing. Clinic is $120, paid in advance, and non-refundable. It happens rain or shine, so please bring a raincoat, as well as a pen & paper to take detailed notes. It will run from 9am until approximately 3pm, with a half-hour lunch break.
