River Flow 120 CFS - Visibility Clear - AM Water Temp 58'F. - Cloudy skies today with showers likely after 11 am. Northeast wind around 15 mph - Between the cooler water temps and the cloudy skies the BITE WILL BE ON TODAY and all weekend with similar weather forecast each day. This weather will mean BWO's for sure! CT DEEP biologist Mike Humphreys stocked 3,100 Survivor Strain Brown Trout in the HOUSY on Wednesday (09/27/16) !!! - The remaining resident trout coming out of the thermal refuges and actively feeding in the TMA. - Trout and Smallmouth Bass are putting on the fall feed bag !! - The fish are taking daytime BWO's and evening ISO's on the top!! - The daytime streamer bite is still going strong. - With the river flow at 139 CFS it is easy wading almost anywhere in the Housy. - Today is a perfect day to get up here and throw some Rubber Legs for a bunch of smallies or trout !! - FALL IS BASS & TROUT FISHING TIME!! The Pike Bite is also still going strong!! You can't lose here on the Housy unless you don't come up!
Trout are coming out of the thermal refuges and have started moving around and feeding in the TMA. - BWO's starting to show during the day. - Look for Iso's in the evenings. - Look for Trout behind exposed boulders in all the deeper riffles & pools. - Streamer fishing is the way to go during daylight hours.
